We were guests at The Regent, and had a surprisingly bad experience here last night celebrating our anniversary. The service we received was unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. The food was nice, but the service left a bad taste in our mouth. Our cocktails arrived after we had already finished the meal, that is a HUGE red flag for a restaurant that uses the word “Michelin” in any capacity. I have dined at many Michelin 1 and 2 star restaurants throughout the world, and Michael should be ashamed to attach his name to a restaurant with such abysmal customer service. But of course when I see “celebrity chef”, I know they don’t care. Your claim to fame should be the food and service at a restaurant you put your name on, not your celebrity. Lamb pops were the star. We didn’t get past apps due to the bad service. Wasn’t worth the time. I was more than happy to spend $500+ on this meal, but our tab ended up being $69 which I think is indicative of the experience we had. Orla needs to do a lot better to be inside The Regent. It was truly night and day the customer service from The Regent vs Orla.

Amazing service, amazing food, amazing atmosphere. Ryan was incredibly friendly and helpful and the tasting menu was so good. Feels underpriced for what you get. 10/10 recommend

My husband and I recently dined here to celebrate his birthday, and we had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed an incredible view of the beach and sunset during our meal, and the entire staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. I want to give a special shoutout to our server, Ryan, who was outstanding. The team was incredibly accommodating of my vegan diet. Both the food and drinks were amazing, and we highly recommend the 24k Golden Baklava Sundae prepared tableside. I was also pleasantly surprised and grateful that the kitchen was able to prepare a special vegan dessert for me. Thank you for making our celebration so memorable. We look forward to visiting again.

My family and I dined at Orla during a Father's Day weekend stay in Santa Monica, and it was one of the best restaurant experiences we've had in quite some time. The food was excellent from start to finish. Highlights included the whipped chickpea hummus, lamb kofta, Michael's Favorite Salmon, zucchini fritters, saffron rice, and an outstanding dessert course. The cocktails were creative, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully crafted. Every dish felt intentional and well executed while remaining approachable and enjoyable. What truly set Orla apart, however, was the service. Pia stopped by our table to personally ensure everything was going well and even made sure we hadn't left any belongings behind when we departed. That level of attentiveness is increasingly rare and very much appreciated. Ryan provided exceptional service throughout our dinner. We were dining with young children, and he consistently looked for ways to improve our experience. One moment that particularly stood out was when our son preferred traditional dinner rolls over the pita bread being served. We recently celebrated our 10th engagement anniversary at Orla, and it was a truly special experience! The service was elevated from the moment we walked in. We were offered complimentary glasses of champagne for our celebration. Though our server was attentive, we didn't rush us and allowed us to enjoy. The appetizers were yummy and well portioned (highly recommend the hummus, baba ganoush...though the crudo was good but small, and the grilled octopus was a bit disappointing), the cocktails were well balanced and enjoyable (they allow corkage for $45 per bottle), and the 'Athens to Alexandria' platter for two was AMAZING! We really enjoyed the short rib, kofta and lamb chops. We definitely plan to return again very soon!
